The purpose of this risk management training course is to provide managers with a solid understanding of business risk and how to manage it. Course Objectives: • The aim of this training module is to provide delegates with the importance of understanding the risk assessment & to clarify "best practices" for risk assessment. • Enable participants to implement basic risk assessments at their work site. • Carry out assessments of risks to employees and other people, that are caused by their work activities • Introduce effective arrangements for planning, organising, controlling and monitoring controls and precautions • Appoint one or more competent person to help and advise on health and safety matters • Provide employees with relevant and understandable information relating to the risks arising from their work activity and the controls/precautions to be followed. Introduction, Attendance Sheet • Understand the principles of risk assessment • Objectives of risk assessments • Accidents - Causation, statistics and their use • Hazards, risks and control measures • Risk assessment review and record keeping • Job Safety Analyses- JSA • Risk Assessment Theory • The five stages of risk assessment • Use of checklists and other documentation. • Practical exercises. • Group Practice - Delegates will undertake a risk assessment of an item of equipment to consolidate what they have learnt. • Test Questionnaires/Appraisal Form Training Methodology: • Based on case studies (30%); Techniques (30%); Concepts (10%) and Role Play (30%) • Pre-test and Pro-test • Variety of Learning Methods • Lectures • Case Studies and Self Questionaires • Small Group Work • Discussion • Presentation
